Assemble at the airport for your flight to Skopje - the capital of Macedonia.
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for check-'in before enjoying some free time your own leisure.
Make your way to the UNESCO-recognised Lake Ohrid. Visit Samuil's Fortress and walk along its historic 4th-century walls, then see the Ancient Theatre of Ohrid built in Hellenistic style. Walk up to view the cliff-top Church of St. Sophia You may also wish to join an optional excursion to Sveti Naum Monastery - an imposing Byzantine structure on the bluff that was rebuilt between the 16th to 17th century. At the hotel, enjoy some free time to explore Lake Orhid on your own.
After your breakfast, proceed to Skopje and begin a walking tour in the old part of the town, where you can view the Stone Bridge Local sights not to be missed include the Sveti Spas Church, famous for its exquisite iconostasis from the 17th century, the Old Bazaar, Fortress Kale and Mustafa Pasha Mosque During the tour, we will also visit the Memorial House of Mother Teresa.
After breakfast, proceed to Prizren for a historic tour that will bring you to see Prizren House, the Stone Bridge, Sinan Pasha Mosque, the Ethnographic Museum and the Old Town. Continue to Prishtina or Pristina, the capital and largest city of Kosovo. The city has a majority Albanian population, alongside other smaller communities. The sightseeing tour will bring you to see the Newborn Monument, Skanderbeg Statue and the Pedestrian Street of Prishtina.
In the morning, you will travel to the Rita Mountains to visit the famous Rita Monastery. The beautiful orthodox monastery was built in the 14th century and houses valuable paintings, thousands of manuscripts, old printed books and masterworks of wood carvings. Head towards Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria In the evening, enjoy a dinner at a local restaurant, complete with folklore music performances.
Kick-off the day with a city tour of the Bulgarian capital city. tn the heart of Sofia, visit the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Boyana Church - a medieval Bulgarian Orthodox church situated on the outskirts of Sofia. In 1979, the building was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List. Continue to Plovdiv, one of Europe's oldest towns. On a guided walking tour, discover the history and culture of this &,000-year-old city that was settled by Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman and Bulgarian civilisations See the sights of the old town, including museums, historical monuments and revival period houses lining the cobbled streets Visit the Ethnographical Museum and explore the impressive Roman Theatre.
Begin with a visit to a Rose oil distillery in the vicinity of Kazanlak, where we'll try a hand at rose picking in the rose plantations. Then, make your way to Kazantak Stroll along the streets of Kazanlak and bask in the fragrant celebrations of the Rose Festival! Don't miss the festival highlights, the Rose Queen Coronation and the Festival Parade ` a lively procession featuring the newly crowned Rose Queen and participants from various cities and nations marching down the streets of Kazanlak, singing and dancing all the way. After all the festivities, depart for Veliko Tarnovo.
Today, we shall start our tour in Tsarevets Fortress and explore the medieval stronghold on foot. Then, stop by the Asenevets Monument, which was erected exactly 800 years after the city was appointed capital of the Second Bulgarian Empire to commemorate the Tsars for their contribution to the city. Thereafter, cross the border into Romania as you drive through the heart of the Carpathian Mountains to arrive in Sinaia and check-in for the night.
In the morning, visit Pales Castle, possibly the most beautiful castle in Eastern Europe. Built in 1883, Pales Castle, is a masterpiece of German-Renaissance architecture. After lunch, drive to Bran and visit the famous Bran Castle, best known as Dracula's castle from Bram Stoker's famous novel. Trace Dracula's footsteps as you explore the eerie corridors and deathly cold rooms at your peril. Afterwards, you'll find a souvenir and local crafts market - this is the place to get your Dracula-inspired souvenirs. Then, transfer to the medieval city of Brasov, also called the Crown of Transylvania. Go on a sightseeing tour to discover the colourful Old Town and the Council Square, before viewing the magnificent faade of the Black Church, Romania~s largest Gothic church that looms triumphantly over the old town of Brasov.
Join a sightseeing tour of Sighisoara, one of the best-preserved medieval towns in Europe. See the Clock Tower, the Church on the hill, Scholar's Stairs, Venetian House and Hermann Oberth Square Next, travel to Subiu, the biggest medieval city in Romania. Embark on a walking tour to visit the Evangelical Church, Council Tower, Liar's Bridge and Brukenthal Palace Then, continue to Bucharest, the sixth largest city of the European Union.
This morning, a city tour will take you to see the important sights such as the Arch of Triumph, Victory Square, Roman Square and the Unification Square At the Constitution Square, admire the faCade of the Palace of the Parliament, the second largest building in the world. Transfer to the airport in the evening for your flight back home.
